  • Our Team | NACE

Staff Susan Diersen Director Hi! I am Susan Diersen, the new Director at NACE. I lived in Ham Lake for 20 years, and I am very excited to be back serving the North Anoka County area. I currently live on an Organic Farm and Butterfly, Bee, and Bird Sanctuary in Rush City Minnesota with my husband and a lot of pets! I have many years of experience managing nonprofit organizations and I am passionate about helping those who experience food insecurity. I am thrilled to join the NACE team and look forward to meeting all those involved with NACE. Please stop in and say hello next time you are at NACE. Board of Directors Goody Vokovan Interim Chair Goody Vokovan and her husband Greg have lived in East Bethel since 2009. They have one daughter. When they moved to East Bethel, Goody felt the need to get involved in the community. She started volunteering at NACE and later joined the board in 2018. Goody is proud to serve on the NACE Board as they continue to look for ways to end hunger. Jill Brown Secretary Board Members Paul Boschaert Hello. I’m Paul Boschaert. I’ve been volunteering with NACE since April of 2020 and on the board of directors since December of 2020. I first connected with NACE out of a desire to get involved with something at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, to find a volunteer outlet. NACE is close to home, and providing food assistance to those in need is close to my heart. At an earlier point in my life, my family and I relied upon the same kind of assistance and I wanted to give back. This has been a very rewarding experience for me and I look forward to helping our community and helping guide NACE into the future. Beverly Vokovan Wanda McLaurin I have lived in East Bethel for almost 10 years. After searching across several states and many other cities in Minnesota, my husband and I chose to retire in this beautiful city to be closer to family and return to the Midwest. East Bethel offered us the rural feel we were searching for with many amenities available due to our proximity to the metro area. I serve on the East Bethel Booster Days and the East Bethel Chamber Golf Committee. I am a member of Beaverbrook Sportsman Club, American Legion Post 0791, and the East Bethel Chamber of Commerce. I recently joined NACE as a board member. You will also find me at the Green Barn in Isanti during the spring and winter seasons. Jim Huff Jim brings 30 years of nonprofit experience to our organization specializing in financial accountability, business development, & organizational planning. Jim has been an active member of the Ham Lake & Metro North Chambers of Commerce, Toastmasters International, Business Networking International, and various other business, and networking groups. He and his wife enjoy time with their granddaughter, reading, watching movies, and taking walks. Michelle Hudak
