Dear Friends of NACE,
With coronavirus (COVID-19) impacting people around the world, we have been developing plans to ensure our organization is informed and taking preventative measures to limit exposure for both our participants and our volunteers. We are preparing appropriately but remain calm and focused on our responsibilities to the community.
In order to limit the exposure and prevent the spread of the coronavirus through our community, NACE Foodshelf & Clothing Closet will be implementing a modified distribution model effective starting on Monday, March 16th until April 1st when further review will determine if we need to continue with the modified distribution.
The modified distribution model will be as follows:
All volunteers at NACE will be required to wear gloves regardless of their responsibilities. Our volunteers' health and safety are our priority, so we understand if volunteers choose to not volunteer during this time. Hours of operation will currently remain the same until further notice.
In addition to our modified distribution model, we are asking employees and volunteers to:
With the preventative actions we are taking to limit exposure, we have also decided to postpone our Empty Bowls fundraiser until a later date. We plan to postpone the event until it is safer to host a larger event.
Please take the time to take excellent care of yourself. We know that many in our community rely on NACE Foodshelf & Clothing Closet and many that we serve are vulnerable to the spread of this disease. We will continue to monitor and adjust our operations as appropriate. We'll keep you updated as we know more and please don’t hesitate to reach out for questions or concerns.
